Petrochemical Industries Design
and Engineering Company (PIDEC), as a leading
engineering, design and consulting company in the fields of oil, gas and petrochemical
industries, was originally established in 1985 as one of the subsidiaries of National
Petrochemical Company of Iran.
In 1994, however, PIDEC shares was transferred, as a private company, to the holding
of the Erection and Construction Company (ECC).
In PIDEC, the most skillful and well-trained technical staff are organized to utilize
the latest tools including Computer Aided Design techniques for the execution of
oil, gas, petrochemical, petroleum refineries, power plants and generally, all other
related industries projects. In these projects, PIDEC performs feasibility studies,
project management, engineering, procurement services, purchasing and equipment
supply and delivery, site supervision, managing contract, construction, commissioning
and start-up.
PIDEC makes full use of its own technical expertise and engineering resources, to
carry out studies and execution of grass root projects or expansion, renovation
and rehabilitation.
PIDEC's current status and standing has enabled it to form joint ventures and/or
cooperate in consortium type agreements with reputable international companies.
Due to its international status, PIDEC has also been able to secure financial resources
from foreign financial institutions in accordance with its customers' needs.

PIDEC as a leading design and engineering company in Iran in conjunction with the
local and international universities and research centers has established its own
Research and Development section to respond to the growing needs of oil, gas and
petrochemical industries market.
Involvement in preparation of Basic Engineering and performing Detail Engineering
for a number of petrochemical products such as Methanol, Ammonia, Urea, MTBE, Ethylene
Oxide and Glycol, HDPE, and Butene-1 has enabled PIDEC to assemble a valuable knowledge
base and experience regarding different process schemes and technologies.
R&D section examines all the available process technologies for production of a
certain product and tries to improve the process design based on the high quality
in-house knowledge and experience.
Development of new innovative process technologies to produce highly demanded products
together with mechanical design improvements of certain process equipment in collaboration
with reputable manufacturers is also carried out in R&D section.
